Carbon Literacy Training

In memory of Ada Salter’s pioneering environmental work, we offered a free-of-charge session of Carbon Literacy training.

The day course covered the basics of greenhouse gases, climate change, and the impact of human actions on the planet. It then considered how to build a low carbon society.

Participants agreed that declarations of Climate Emergency are no use without real change. Everyone needs to be informed and motivated to save our beautiful planet!

Red Flag Over Bermondsey!

This was the last chance to see Lynn Morris’s moving one-woman play about Ada Salter. It tells the inspiring story of Ada’s early years in Bermondsey and the tragedy of losing her only daughter to scarlet fever. The show was completely sold out, and Lynn’s brilliant performance received a standing ovation from her enthusiastic audience.

The performance was filmed by Olivier Stockman and is now available on his Sands Films website or on Eventive (good for large screen TV).
