To celebrate the centenary the Rotherhithe & Bermondsey Local History Society is offering a special themed walk led by tour guides Oonagh Gay and Sue McCarthy.

This evening walk tells the story of Ada and Alfred Salter and how they transformed Bermondsey. Visiting the sites connected with the Salters, it tells their personal stories and shows how their legacy lives on. The narrative also investigates the social struggles which went on behind the scenes, and shows how their radical policies remain relevant even today.
