Here Comes Good Health!

An evening lecture by Southwark Archivist Patricia Dark, on living conditions and health in inter-war Bermondsey.

The Rotherhithe and Bermondsey Local History Society was delighted to present another collaboration for the Salter Centenary. The full capacity audience welcomed Patricia enthusiastically.

The talk focused on living conditions and the wider determinants of health in Bermondsey in the inter-war period, as well as the innovations which the Bermondsey Revolution brought in to improve the health of local residents.

Speaker: Dr Patricia Dark
Following her undergraduate degree in mediaeval and Renaissance studies at the University of Michigan, Patricia did a master’s and doctorate in history at Oxford. She qualified as an archivist at UCL and has been working for Southwark Council since 2010.
