For the Salter centenary Paul Wood has led two walks celebrating Ada’s heritage of trees in Bermondsey. Both were fully booked and much enjoyed.

Paul is London’s best-known tree expert. Founder of the Urban Tree Festival and author of 3 books on London trees: London’s Street Trees: A Field Guide to the Urban Forest (2017); London Tree Walks: Arboreal Ambles Around the Green Metropolis (2020); London is a Forest (2019, 2022 revised & extended edition).

The walks ended with refreshments at Cherry Garden Hall, hosted by Sheila Taylor, Salter Centenary Coordinator, Sarah Vaughan of Trees for Bermondsey and Graham Taylor, author of the Ada Salter biography.
