A green walkway for the Salter Cottages

The Salter Centenary has developed a plan to create a green wildlife walkway next to Wilson Grove, the garden cottage estate built by Ada Salter.

There is currently an empty stretch of brick paving alongside Maylie House, leading to the cottages. The plan is to de-pave part of the surface and turn it into a winding wildlife pathway.

Redesigned with landscaping and imaginative wildlife-friendly planting, it will be transformed into a really attractive green corridor. This is a popular route to Riverside Primary School, so the new walkway will be particularly lovely for the local children.
